Felting is my life!

My art has always a fairy-tale, quirky or mystic touch.

Life has become so overloaded with complications, thus people who look at my fiber paintings are invited to take a little break, let their fantasy flow and just enjoy.

Originally, I'm a studied biologist and have worked as a freelance medical translator for many years.

Now I've become a professional textile artist and a member of the 'Professional Association for Visual Artist of Austria'.

My feltmaking journey began in 2014 just out of curiosity. I was instantly drawn to the beauty of the natural materials, fascinated by the endless options - felt was the ideal medium to express myself.

Since then I've been exploring the magic of light and texture in 2D pictures, largely influenced by Claude Monet and William Turner, and the works of felt artists Moy Mackay and Susan Mulcock.

I've studied with worldwide renowned fiber artists  (Charlotte Sehmisch, Molly Williams, Wendy Bailye, Fiona Duthie, Deb Koesters) and also with visual artists (Juna Biagioni, Nina Squire, Maria Grossbaum).

Every new skill is set into context with fiber art and often leads to innovative combinations, processes and results.

My feltworks are featured in magazines, won prices at competitions and are collected worldwide.

As of today, I have taken part in numerous solo and collective exhibitions in Austria and abroad, and have also successfully co-organized a few events.

Together with my husband and a bunch of cats, I live partly in Vienna, the beautiful capital of Austria, and partly in a wild rose garden in Lower Austria.
